TrueYacht Pty Ltd ("TrueYacht," "we," "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our clients' financial and personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information in connection with our financial management and reporting services.


1. Information We Collect In the course of providing our services, TrueYacht may collect and access the following types of information:

  • Financial records, transactions, and account data accessed via QuickBooks Online

  • Business and personal contact information (name, email address, business name)

  • Engagement-related communications and documents

  • Payment information related to TrueYacht service fees


2. How We Use Your Information Information collected is used solely to deliver the financial management, reporting, and oversight services outlined in your engagement with TrueYacht. Specifically, this includes:

  • Accessing and managing your QuickBooks Online data to perform monthly bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial close processes

  • Producing financial reports, dashboards, and analysis on your behalf

  • Communicating with you regarding your engagement and financial results

  • Complying with legal and regulatory obligations


3. Data Sharing TrueYacht does not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share your financial or personal data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

  • Where required by law or regulatory authority

  • With your explicit written consent

  • With service providers strictly necessary to deliver our services (e.g. secure cloud storage), who are bound by confidentiality obligations


4. QuickBooks Online Data TrueYacht accesses your QuickBooks Online account through Intuit's authorized API. Data accessed through this connection is used exclusively for the purposes described in this policy and your engagement agreement. TrueYacht does not store raw QuickBooks data beyond what is necessary to deliver your reports and analysis.


5. Data Security TrueYacht implements reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. Access to client financial data is restricted to TrueYacht personnel directly involved in your engagement.


6. Data Retention We retain client financial data and engagement records for as long as necessary to deliver our services and meet applicable legal obligations. Upon termination of your engagement, you may request deletion of your data subject to any retention requirements imposed by law.


7. Your Rights

Australian clients: Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of personal information we hold about you.

US clients: If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. TrueYacht does not sell personal information.

All clients: Regardless of jurisdiction, you may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information.


8. Cookies and Tracking TrueYacht's client dashboard and web presence may use basic analytics to monitor site performance. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.


9. Third-Party Services Our services involve integration with Intuit QuickBooks Online. Your use of QuickBooks Online is also subject to Intuit's own Privacy Policy, available at intuit.com. TrueYacht is not responsible for Intuit's data practices.


10. Changes to This Policy TrueYacht may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Clients will be notified of material changes via email or through our website. Continued use of TrueYacht's services following notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
